Plutten Outdoor World

Veteran supporting veterans

Plutten Outdoor World is owned by a U.S. Iraqi war veteran, and we are committed to giving back to other veterans as they transition to civilian life.

You can make a difference in the lives of veterans as they transition back to civilian life. A portion of our sales goes directly to organizations that support the men and women who have served our country.
We are proud to support the following organizations:
U.S.VETS

THE NATION’S LARGEST NONPROFIT PROVIDER OF COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO HOMELESS AND AT-RISK VETERANS.

OUR MISSION: The successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development and comprehensive support
DAV

nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families, helping more than 1 million veterans in positive, life-changing ways each year.

The organization provides nearly 615,000 rides for veterans attending medical appointments and assists veterans with more than 250,000 benefit claims annually.
Homes For Our Troops (HFOT)

nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post – 9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.

Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives

  1. U.S.VETS

There is a growing generation of veterans with new challenges to face. In the past 10 years, two million troops have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. As they return home, many will experience challenges adjusting back to civilian life. Roughly 300,000 returning troops currently suffer from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or major depression and anxiety. Additionally, over 320,000 individuals have suffered a probable traumatic brain injury during deployment.

  2. Homes for our Troops

HFOT builds homes as a pivotal point for these Veterans to rebuild their lives, and once again become highly productive members of society. Despite their life-altering injuries, many of our Veterans have embarked on new careers, completed their college degrees, or started families. Empowered by the freedom a donated specially adapted custom home brings, these Veterans can now focus on their recovery and returning to their life’s work of serving others.
